Recently, the Maplestyle Living team took a standard "builder-grade" secondary bathroom and reimagined it as a high-end sanctuary. Here is how we turned a cramped, dated space into a masterclass in modern luxury.

The Challenge: The "Generic" Feel

The original bathroom (see the "Before" photo) had all the usual suspects: standard wood-grain cabinets, a bulky floor-mounted vanity that ate up space, and mismatched tiles. It felt closed-in and lacked a clear design "voice."

The Vision: Seamless Elegance

Our goal was to bring the Maplestyle signature—precision, light, and materiality—into this compact footprint. We wanted the homeowner to feel like they were stepping into a luxury hotel every single day.

The Transformation Highlights:

• The Power of Large-Format Stone: We swapped small, busy tiles for floor-to-ceiling Calacatta-style slabs. The continuous grey veining creates a visual flow that actually makes the room feel larger.

• Jewelry for the Home: Look closely at the edges! We used brushed gold trim to frame the stone. It acts like jewelry for the room—adding a pop of warmth and high-end contrast against the cool marble.

• Floating for Airflow: By installing a custom floating vanity and a wall-hung look, we opened up the floor space. The dark flooring provides a "grounded" feel, making the white stone walls pop.

• Smart Glow: The integrated LED mirror isn't just for checking your reflection; it provides soft, ambient light that eliminates harsh shadows, perfect for your skincare or shaving routine.
